SAYVA

SAYVA (South Asian Youth Volunteer Association) is an innovative and empowering 501(c)3 non-profit, youth-focused organization dedicated to providing valuable resources makinf a lasting impact in communities through service and advocacy in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Sayva currently has 125 teen and junior ambassadors who are serving, leading community events, and fundraising for partner organizations that strive to make an impact and need a helping hand. Through a variety of programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities, Sayva encourages personal growth, leadership development, and community engagement amongst teens, and encourages teens to have a voice.

The Forward Foundation believes that Sayva is playing a crucial role in shaping the next generation of compassionate, confident, and capable individuals who will contribute positively to society in a more forward-thinking world. By instilling values of empathy, tolerance, and resilience, members of Sayva are not only prepared for future challenges but also equipped to become a generation that leads with kindness, wisdom, and innovation.

“Sayva” is a Sanskrit word meaning to serve selflessly and with dedication.

By fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment, Sayva helps young people build the skills and resilience they need to navigate the complexities of adolescence and prepare for a bright and promising future.
